Chuck served in the US Navy on the USS Carronade. We were together in combat (1968-1969). He served with honor, distinction, and pride in our mission and service and will be greatly missed. He was a disabled veteran and passed away on Aug. 16, 2011. Over the recent years he and I made contact and got together regularly to remember "ole' war stories" and exciting times from over 40 years ago. He loved his job, his family, and his country.
